OtterCatch is a simple mobile game in which you guide an otter, catch fish, and avoid obstacles. We designed the game so you can play without an account and without providing SvenSite directly with personal information. The Android app offers an optional rewarded advertisement through Google AdMob, as described below.

What data is processed?

You do not need to provide a name, email address, precise location, or account to play OtterCatch. SvenSite does not operate its own player database or receive your high score. Google may process certain device and usage data when the advertising features are used.

Score and settings on your device

Your high score and basic game preferences may be stored locally on your device. This information is not sent to SvenSite or any other party. You can remove this local data by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app.

Advertising and analytics

Version 0.1.3 of OtterCatch uses Google AdMob to provide an optional rewarded ad that can revive your otter once per run. According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share an IP address, product interactions such as app launches, taps and video views, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers including the Android advertising ID. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data sent by the SDK is encrypted in transit.

Where required, OtterCatch uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request advertising consent before requesting an ad. You can review or change available advertising privacy choices using the information button in the game. Depending on your choice and region, Google may provide personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads.

Children

The game does not request personal data and does not include chat, accounts, or the ability to post content. OtterCatch is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13.

Third-party services

The Android app uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform. Their processing is governed by the applicable Google policies. You can read the Google Privacy Policy for more information. Downloading and distribution through Google Play are also governed by Google's privacy policy and terms.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. The current version will remain available on this page and will show the date of the latest update at the top.
